About Us

We all understand that in order to maintain a good quality of life, mental health is as important, if not more, as our physical health. When problems arise, you want to go see someone for help who not only is highly qualified with extensive experience, but also takes the time to get to know you, makes a thorough assessment, finds out what you struggle with on a day to day basis and designs a treatment plan which fits your unique needs, and this may include medication and/or therapy. Dr. Jay Mirza

Psychiatrist, MPH, MD

I got my Master of Public Health degree at USC and 4-yr psychiatry training at University of Connecticut hospital system. I am certified by American Board of Psychiatry and in practice for 28 years. I provide both medication treatment and therapy modalities like CBT and psychodynamic therapy.

On a personal note, I have been living in South Carolina off and on since 1988, I raised my kids here and call South Carolina, home. I lived in Columbia until 2013 when I moved to Charleston and worked for the VA as a tele-psychiatrist until recently.
